As a Security Manager I worked with a team of highly trained law enforcement officers and military professionals by planning and executing security operations in areas declared by Government Officials to be in a State of Emergency. During Security Operations I was the highest level of leadership in the field and planned all security functions for multiple locations, including airfields, government acquired facilities, Initial Attack Camps, and other areas. This position required working for extended periods of time in remote/austere environments in often dangerous conditions with little to no direction from senior or corporate leadership once a deployment period began (low communication was due to the remote and inaccessible locations that we worked in).

My time as a Duty Supervisor was spent planning and managing security operations for various high profile events such as the World Indoor Track Championship Medal Ceremony and Nike Brand events in the Portland, Oregon Area. On a daily basis I managed over 50 security professionals by taking care of all scheduling issues, conducting investigations, and also training employees. Often times this position required me to respond to emergencies, work and communicate with some of our largest clients, and also review reports. I also conducted internal investigations and performed Basic Human resource functions such as hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees.My position as a Park Officer was as a publicly contracted security provider for the City of Portland, Oregon. My job included patrolling all 18 of Portland's Downtown Parks assisting Portland Police in deterring criminal activities, investigating Non-Emergency/Emergency complaints, as well as enforcing all park rules in compliance with Oregon Revised Statutes for Park Officers. My time as a Park Officer was spent entirely on Swing Shift hours in inclement whether and often required myself to deescalate dangerous situations ranging from suicides, aggressive /intoxicated individuals, and cordoning off areas due to various criminal activities. In addition to working as a Park Officer I also performed duties as a regular Private Security Officer, patrolling and investigating issues in most of the High Rise Condominiums in the Downtown Portland Area.**During my time in this role I had to take leaves of absences due to Military Obligations**

My time in the military was actually split between Active Duty and National Guard Service, in the Army, as well as a brief period of time in the Air Force (Just under one year). A majority of my time was spent as a Rifleman, holding positions such as Radio Telephone Operator, Machine Gunner, Automatic Rifleman, Grenadier, and Fire Team Leader.In this position I also worked with FEMA conducting CBRN Rescue and Decontamination operations in a multi-national training environment. I also worked as a Wildland Firefighter, including as a Military Liaison in charge of integrating military personnel with other government agencies.
