CurrentBeing a member of the BCBS's Enterprise Initiatives & Analytics division, specifically the Network Finance team, offers an unique opportunity to have a tangible and beneficial impact on Buffalo's healthcare providers. In collaboration with the team, I analyze and present reimbursement, fee schedule and market data to arm our healthcare providers with the analytics they need to continue providing quality care to our members. The pandemic reminds us how critical healthcare providers and facilities are to the fabric of our community. I take pride in knowing that our team at BCBS delivers an analytical advantage to aid our healthcare providers and members each and every day.Healthcare is constantly changing. These changes drastically affect a provider's reimbursement. The pandemic accelerated these changes to breakneck speeds. Since I joined the BCBS team, we have developed two new reports that supply key insights to our healthcare providers:1.) BestPractice Reimbursement Comparison2.) Fee Schedule Impact AnalysisBoth reports visualize healthcare provider’s current reimbursement vs other types of reimbursement based criteria of their choosing. Creating these reports was a major undertaking prior to the team tackling this problem. Utilizing BCBS’s software stack the team and I continue to drive initiatives to help position our company for the future of healthcare.
