I work as a health coach and community support worker under Tōku Oranga, the Southern Access and Choice programme. This is a primary mental health and addiction service based in general practices in the Southern region. Working in primary healthcare and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver accessible and effective healthcare services to our community. My work centers on health education and preventive care, focusing on chronic health conditions, enhancing health literacy, well-being, nutrition, sleep, and anxiety management. I also liaison and connect clients with local services in the community. My approach emphasizes positive behavior change and empathetic support, meeting patients where they are and fostering a constructive environment for growth. Building strong rapport and creating a supportive atmosphere is integral to my practice.In addition to my current role, I am an Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and a Master of Applied Science in Advanced Nutrition Practice, this underpins my approach when delivering comprehensive nutrition and health support.
