I investigate employment discrimination complaints which include discrimination based on race, national origin, religion, age, gender, disability, veteran status, retaliation and sexual harassment. A decision is made on whether the complaint can be substantiated or not substantiated. If necessary a recommendation is made on what course of action should be taken to correct the complaint and/or prevent it from happening in the future. I assist in Federal investigations conducted by the US EEOC. I also process reasonable accommodation requests to determine if an employee is a qualified individual with a disability.

I supervise a unit of Special Investigators which includes overseeing serious abuse/neglect investigations in areas of physical abuse, sexual abuse, child sex trafficking, and child deaths. Act as a liaison between the agency and law enforcement agencies. Participate in joint investigations with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Assist in locating absent families wanted in child abuse/neglect investigations. Assist in locating missing children that are in state custody. Testify in court as needed and complete report writing. Assist in training of new employees in investigation techniques and report writing.

I conduct investigations involving serious cases of child abuse and neglect. This includes sexual abuse, child sex trafficking, physical abuse and child deaths. I also search for absent parents, relatives and missing children that are wanted in CPS investigations. I attend autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death of children. I collect evidence from crime scenes and take photos as needed. Investigations may include joint investigations with local police, sheriff's department, Texas Rangers and federal agencies. I assist in training new employees in investigation techniques, report writing and safety. I also testify in court as to the findings of cases and present evidence necessary to support a removal of a child. Enter daily documentation of current cases under investigation.

A member of the Texas Highway Patrol in which I enforced all criminal and traffic laws in the State of Texas. Also ensuring that civil rights of individuals were not violated, respecting all individuals constitutional rights. I conducted DWI enforcement and criminal interdiction of narcotics trafficking. As a highway patrolman I investigated accidents and reconstructed accident scenes to determine if a law was violated. I conducted warrant services and apprehended fugitives as necessary. I also conducted background investigations on potential CHL applicants and new recruits. I was a certified field training officer which involved field training of recent graduates of the law enforcement academy.

Conducted patrol in an assigned area of the City enforcing all state laws. Arresting violaters as needed. As a member of the SWAT Team, served high risk search and arrest warrants. Also apprehended fugitives as needed. I spent time working undercover in the area of narcotics trafficking. Conducted traffic direction during parades and special events in the city.

Supervised 20-30 county inmates inside a cell tank. Responded to emergency calls inside the jail which included: breaking up fights between inmates, sick calls, fire alarms and any other needs from jail staff and inmates. I was also a licensed peace officer while employed here.
