In my current role, I focus on ensuring robust security and recovery solutions for clients. I work closely with cloud, backup, and security software providers to address and mitigate security issues. Utilizing TSI’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, I diagnose and resolve security-related problems, identify and remediate backup issues, and maintain vigilance over outstanding client security concerns. I assist the Senior Security Engineering Team with incident response, triage, and security projects, reporting progress and escalating issues to management to identify and mitigate potential security risks. My responsibilities also include ensuring precise documentation.

Within a team of six other interns without supervision our team was tasked to build and configure a Security Information Event Monitoring (SIEM) tool to proactively monitor RWU’s Payment Card Network for complianceand alerts while ensuring PCI-DSS compliance is met.

The Rhode Island State Fusion Center is an intelligence center that combinestogether law enforcement agencies such as the FBI and the State Police. TheRhode Island State Fusion Center is one of the only Fusion Centers in the country that have a sharedspace with the FBI. This allows for efficient communication between the two branches /departments. Together they they deal with public safety, and other partners to share information,conduct analysis, and support operations. The fusion center serves as the main point for thecollection of intelligence information related to terrorism, criminal activity, and other variousthreats to the security of the state of Rhode Island. The Fusion Center allows for easiercommunication of information between other state police departments and other smaller townpolice departments located within the state of Rhode Island.During my internship, I worked as a cybersecurity intern, focusing on basic networksecurity and social media investigations. Which included deep searching the web for criminalactivity, and finding individuals' hidden social media profiles who may have committed criminalacts. My duties also included basic IT work such as troubleshooting printers and other aspects ofcybersecurity while incorporating and learning about the criminal justice side of the work. As acybersecurity intern, I was responsible for contributing to the analysis of intelligenceinformation, and assisting with the implementation of some cybersecurity measures. Howevermost of the time I was there learning from my superiors as they were teaching me their true day-to-day responsibilities.

In my role as an Electronics Assembler at Epec Engineering Technologies, I cultivated a comprehensive skill set vital for electronic manufacturing. Proficient in interpreting assembly drawings and conducting meticulous mechanical assembly, I specialized in Battery Pack Assembly, ensuring precise cell connections and conducting rigorous quality testing. Additionally, my expertise extends to Tab Welding, with a focus on welding or soldering tabs on battery cells. I demonstrated adeptness in PCB Assembly, employing both reflow and hand soldering techniques. Skilled in troubleshooting, I identified and diagnosed electronic faults using testing equipment, and I possess programming skills for microcontrollers. My commitment to Quality Control involved meticulous inspection, adherence to standards, and implementing corrective actions. This diverse experience positions me as a versatile contributor ready to take on new challenges in electronic manufacturing.
