I started in graphics, communications and eMarketing doing applications development. As I am detail oriented, this involved becoming familiar with multiple existing processes. This enabled me to be more effective in problem solving and to assist in Cross Functional Coordination. I also began to write utilities to aid in analyzing / troubleshooting data in other branches, taking assignments in the Human Resources and Insurance industries.In the workplace, I enjoy learning processes, understanding how things get done and realize the importance of communication between different teams. As changes and issues arise, I am aware of other people / teams that should be involved, what needs to be done and ways to make things more efficient. I also like to come up with creative solutions.I eventually realized that I wanted to do something else, preferably involved with helping the environment, but I wasn’t sure what. While researching ideas, COVID-19 entered the scene and I decided this would be a good time to work on some personal projects until the job market picked up.I found a position working in clean energy technologies which provides sustainable carbon-free hydrogen based products and solutions for commercial buildings, data centers, governments, electric utilities and other strategic partners world wide.Accomplishments:• Wrote a routine to dynamically access Windows icons from outside a resource file• Found a "Day 1" bug in application code• Wrote a utility to convert OS/2 icons to Windows format• Developed a debugging utility which parsed a data file, sorted records by user, compared with another data file and tabulated actual outcome within minutes; this allowed for quick and accurate checking of transaction resultsInterests:• Environmental Issues• Nature • Ancestry Research• Bicycling, Hiking
