• Organized and managed monthly interfaith meetings with the Metropolitan Dialogue to discuss civic issues in the District. • Coordinated meetings with regional civic leaders, submitted monthly reports, and facilitated fundraising and planning events. • Developed and conducted East of the River Technology Tours for members of the Technology Council of Maryland and the Northern Virginia Technology Council. • Managed and organized the Urban Land Institute Mayor’s Tour of Anacostia.

• Planned, directed, and coordinated a comprehensive program to empower 30,000 public housing residents in the areas of mental health, recreation, employment, public health, economic development, home-ownership and education. • Coordinated special programs for residents, which included welfare to work training, community building and violence prevention. • Trained residents to facilitate and conduct meetings. • Hired, trained and supervised staff of sixteen (16). • Managed and oversaw $3 million budget, expense report and account summaries.

• Directed a highly successful community building program designed to empower disconnected communities in an effort to prevent homelessness in 9 public housing developments.• Managed program and budget and developed community programs. • Supervised two full-time staff, six college interns and 5 public housing volunteers. • Planned and coordinated police sensitivity training for the 7th District Police Station and trained 200 police officers in partnership with the National Conference of Christians and Jews. • Developed and coordinated violence prevention initiatives as well as public/private partnerships and community need assessments. • Developed curriculum for and coordinated a Neighborhood Leadership Institute that provided free courses to public housing residents in personal mastery, conflict resolution, fundraising, proposal writing, time management and budgeting.
