Good people are the keystone to good business, and I am proud to collaborate with so many wonderful people to build infrastructure. I have 25 years of experience managing the design, specification and approval of bridge and culvert projects. My experience covers precast concrete fabrication, delivery logistics, construction scheduling, formwork, and calculating and sourcing raw material. I have also gained a platform of construction experience through numerous opportunities as an on-site construction consultant. My experience offers clients an efficient and proven resource in feasibility and type selection support. Starting in 1997, I worked with a prominent precast arch structures firm, with 12 years based in San Diego. My work included developing specifications with City, County, and Federal agencies, as well as supporting the engineering and contracting communities with the technical resources to utilize soil-structure technology. In early 2013, a good pal and I incorporated SPECS to provide structural consulting services in Southern California. Since then, we have been pulled by clients farther and wider. SPECS holds many SB, WBE and DBE certifications and supports both large and small projects ranging from private driveway structures to multi-span conventional girder bridges. I am passionate about driving solutions with limited environmental impacts, strong project management in the regulatory and approval process, and continual engagement with the contracting community throughout design.
