Provide engineering support for the Wexner Medical Center facility operations staff and facility department. Work includes assisting in the troubleshooting of electrical issues, reviewing project engineering documents and submittals, assisting in the PM development program, and mentoring new engineers. Assist facility managers with equipment selection for repairs or replacements of critical infrastructure including UPS systems, overhead paging systems, nurse call systems, retrofit of outdated generator gear and transfer switches, and generator control devices. Added a new generator monitoring system for viewing the status of several generators in one location.• Worked on a $356M project that brought the first ever flash therapy proton treatment facility to Wexner Medical Center. Reviewed construction design documents and submittals. Participated in building tours during construction to identify issues and work on resolution. Worked with vendors to bring the electrical monitoring system online. Assisted in developing a reporting structure for AP for electrical billing of the facility. Continued work in the facility after opening in dealing with power quality issues.• Work on the $16M dock expansion project. Project is needed to improve the workflow and replace the pneumatic trash and linen systems. Space needs developed to manage the OR case carts delivered from CSS. Work is being completed in conjunction with the AMR upgrades. Assisted with design engineering documents, reviewed submittals, reviewed construction documents, and participated in equipment outage coordination.• Helped coordinate repairs of the main electrical system located at Spielman Center for Breast Cancer. The main electrical distribution shorted after some work was being completed on the equipment. The repairs included the complete removal of a bus section and several breakers. Repairs were completed within the weekend with no impact to patient operations.
