When I moved to my next challenge as a data scientist for a business software start-up later acquired by SAP, I applied my software design skills to optimize pricing data for Fortune 500 clients and provide software services crucial to $23 million in contracts. Fascinated by the impact that IP has for tech companies, my path led me to law school. Today, I am a nationally recognized attorney with over 16 years of experience advising stakeholders on complex intellectual property matters. I am proud of my ability to break down complex legal concepts for diverse audiences.My PracticeI was the first in-house IP lawyer at Relativity Space and managed all aspects of intellectual property (patents, open source, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and IP disputes) for this rapidly scaling aerospace and additive manufacturing company with $4.2+ billion valuation. In that role, I gained special expertise in Bayh-Dole regulation and additive manufacturing patent prosecution.I was previously a partner in private practice at Lowenstein & Weatherwax and, prior to that, a partner at Knobbe Martens and co-chair of the firm’s Patent Office Trials Practice Group. I have successfully represented both patent owners and challengers in over 160 Patent Office trials and subsequent appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Justice Neil Gorsuch cited my amicus work on behalf of an inventors’ group in United States v. Arthrex, a U.S. Supreme Court case addressing the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
