I have 20+ years of experience building and leading teams in delivering innovative technology solutions across multiple industries and sectors. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia University and several certifications including CPHIT - Healthcare Information Technology from Columbia University Medical School, GTRI - Global Threat Reduction Initiative from NNSA, U.S. Department of Energy and the special designation of FHIMSS - Fellow Healthcare Information Management System Society.Originally from New York City, I have held positions as Chief Technology Officer at Interlogix, United Technologies Corp.; Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer at HID Global; Director, Security Enterprise Management at Harvard University; Director, IT Systems, Identity Management, Physical-Logical Security Systems at Columbia University; Co-Founder, Gryphon Software Corp. (Morph); served as Chairman of the ASIS Global Information Technology Security Council; and President of HIMSS Northern California. I currently serve as the Co-Chair of the Technology Subcommittee at the California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL-ACHE), where I oversee the strategic direction and execution of technology initiatives and events for Healthcare Leaders across California; and serve as a member of the HIMSS Global Cybersecurity, Privacy and Security Council.I enjoy participating in and supporting an informed, inclusive AI+Healthcare community. I share my research and insights in articles for the California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL-ACHE). My goal is to spark conversations about how we can use AI not just to innovate, but to provide better care and to ensure that AI in healthcare leads to outcomes that are fair, appropriate, valid, effective and safe (FAVES). I also organize and execute in-person and virtual AI+Healthcare CXO roundtables, webinars, workshops, and networking events for healthcare leaders in CAHL and HIMSS, focused on fostering robust peer-to-peer connections and nurturing an open, empowered AI community.I'm all about having meaningful conversations, learning from different perspectives, and brainstorming ways to responsibly leverage AI to improve our lives and make AI work for the greater good.
