I am a teaching assistant for Health in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies course at RSPH. This course covers the technical and management principles that are the basis of planning, implementing, and evaluating health programs for acutely displaced populations in developing countries. The emphasis is on refugees in camp situations. The course includes modules on assessment, nutrition, epidemiology of major health problems, surveillance, and program management in the context of an international relief operation.

-The Integrating HIV and hEART health in South Africa (iHEART-SA) project is a collaboration between the University of the Witwatersrand, University Medical Centre Utrecht, Emory University and Harvard University. This project is working to implement and evaluate interventions for integrating hypertension (HTN) and diabetes (DM) care into HIV care in South Africa. I am: Supports qualitative data collection via in-depth interviews amongst providers at HIV clinics; conducts a deductive thematic analysis of the qualitative findings using MaxQDA-Collaborates with the iHEART-SA team in conducting a pilot report of project-Quantitively examines variables concerning blood pressure management via paired samples t-tests in SAS- Manages community engagement measures; planning/facililtiating Community Advisorary Board of community Stakeholders- transcribing qualitative interviews
