HELP is in my blood: Help Everyone Live the best Possible life! My father, Walker Young, drilled home the “why are you here?” question. His answer was “to love and serve one another”, which I adhere to this day.My advertising career began at age 6 in my Father’s Milwaukee home office. Having the gift of 13 siblings, we rotated being our Father’s office assistant; filing documents for clients such as Speed Queen, Red Wing Shoes, John Deere, and Harley Davidson (loved smelling that old mimeograph paper).We went on fantastic road trips where he would point out companies along the way and comment “a BUSINESS with NO SIGN...is a SIGN of NO BUSINESS”! He often stopped at clients or would even do “cold calls” with us in tow. Father, being raised in a Southern Catholic Orphanage, imparted upon us an immense work ethic, sense of value, family and dedication on all fronts. He taught us to respect and help our fellow man.I have held many positions, from working with children in schools and pools, serving others in restaurants, to launching and growing many fragrance brands within major department stores. All have led me to my current position in the advertising/direct mail industry. The common theme of helping, along with a volunteer mindset, is tightly woven into each job I’ve held. So “to love and serve one another” is why I do what I do! This job allows me to serve by building relationships with my clients thru listening, collaborating and establishing trust while helping them create an advertising campaign that focuses on a positive Return on their Investment. Nothing gives me more joy than the success of others. Putting money into the pockets of my clients’ is quite possibly the greatest feeling on earth!
