Partnered closely with brand directors from our schools & colleges to develop their paid and organic social media campaigns by defining objectives and KPIs, recommending platforms and budget allocations and overseeing creative content development. Responsible for reporting metrics, including engagement, website traffic and lead generation and provided recommendations to optimize campaign performance.

As our department grew to include alumni, faculty and military audiences, I stepped into a manager role and took on more responsibilities, such as developing growth and engagement strategies across social media platforms and producing videos, as well as print and digital marketing collateral.

After leaving television news, I parlayed my writing experience into marketing & communications roles, starting with the University of Phoenix Alumni Association. I created and managed content across all platforms; developed communications plans to promote department initiatives; wrote and coordinated sections for the university’s alumni magazine.

Produced daily evening newscasts from beginning to end by conceptualizing story ideas, researching, writing, creating graphics and navigating live on-air shows. Few jobs can teach you to multitask and meet tight deadlines like being a news producer.

Wrote stories, led editorial meetings and managed reporters, writers and editors for the primetime newscast while booking guests, planning segments and maintaining the station's website.

Supported day-to-day operations of one of the nation’s largest news duopolies.

Selected by the Fulbright Commission to work as a journalist in Germany. I interned at TV and radio news stations and partnered with the U.S. Consulate to visit German schools and speak to students about life, culture and politics in the U.S.—the honor of a lifetime.
