I am an independent communications consultant and have been providing strategic communications support for more than 20 years, for consumer, corporate and public sector clients. My experience covers narrative creation; copywriting; brand positioning; media relations; executive profiling and thought leadership; internal communications; as well as senior counsel on crises and issues management. Most recently, my work has focussed on working with large organisations such as the NHS, using the power of crowdsourcing and giving voice to those who might not always be heard. I do more than just create communications strategies, I have a degree in psychology and understand the impact people and culture have within an organisation and how vital communications is as a tool to enable an organisation to reach its purpose and goals, as well as shaping how it is perceived by external audiences. By applying communications at this strategic level, I can help the organisations I work with to navigate both challenges and opportunities, by truly engaging people and turning the complex into meaningful, relevant, and impactful communication.

Grayling is a global public relations and government relations consultancy with 70 offices in 40 countries worldwide. As Head of Global Marketing, I ran Grayling’s global marketing programme; supporting the procurement of multi-market clients and coordinating the company’s global marketing initiatives.One of the major projects I ran for Grayling was the management of the company’s re-brand; this project comprised a complete change of the company's vision, values and market proposition as well as the launch of a brand new visual identity. I set up and managed Grayling PULSE, Grayling’s proprietary global report that informs Grayling’s peers, clients and wider industry sectors what is happening in communications around the world. PULSE won a 2013 EMEA SABRE Award for PR Agency Marketing.
