Bridget Stuart obtained her PhD in Genetics and Development from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, followed by her MD medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She has experience in academic medicine, training medical students, pediatric residents and pulmonary fellows and conducting translational research in genetic underpinnings of pulmonary disease at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.In industry since 2015, she has worked in Medical Affairs, respiratory, facilitating education of medical prescribers, supervising clinical trials and providing external perspectives to help shape internal strategy. She is currently a Director of Translational Medicine Discovery and Profiling in Pulmonology and Rare Diseases (including Gene Therapy) at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. In this role, she leads the NIBR global project teams through first-in-human and the proof of concept (PoC) phases of drug development, drives implementation of the PoC strategy and provides continued advice through the program's life cycle from discovery to registration.
