Execution of activities necessary to create a reliable and cost effective supply chain for assigned commodities and/or services. I have broad authority in respect to procurement (e.g., sourcing, pricing, planning/scheduling and expediting) as it relates to assigned commodities and services. My main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:1. Promotes/supports plant safety efforts with the highest priority.2. Spends a majority of time executing various aspects of procurement including supplier development, quoting, negotiating, sub-contracting, order processes and processing, including resolving order issues.3. Exercises a key role in accomplishing plant customer service and inventory objectives (Raw/Wip/Buffers/Bulk) through effective inventory management/materials planning for assigned commodities and operational schedules.4. Works with existing suppliers and participates in the development of new supplier relationships. 5. Develops future requirement forecasts to assure reliable supply chain performance.6. Identifies cost savings opportunities and coordinates with all responsible functions to achieve the desired cost results.7. Performs root cause analysis in respect to assigned commodities, services or processes in order to eliminate non-conformances and improve customer service. 8. Expedites, when required, materials deliveries to meet special operational requirements such as push-ins or special customer requirements. 9. Provides assistance to all raw material/WIP warehousing and shipping/receiving functions as required. Knowledge, Skills, Experience: 1. Working knowledge and proficiency in SAP systems and Shop Floor Display2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).3. Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities.4. Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.5. Extensive knowledge of bill of materials and routings in BUS
