In this role, I connect Washtenaw partners, donors, and other stakeholders with opportunities to engage our work and contribute their time, talent, and treasure to further our mission. To do this, I will be working cross-functionally across teams as well as with Cabinet and Executive Leadership to implement a community impact framework specific to Washtenaw County. This is a term-limited role designed to amplify the 2023 merger’s promise of greater community impact by United Way for Southeastern Michigan in Washtenaw County.

Mobilizes networks, cohorts, and resources to drive collective impact and systemic change across United Way’s four-county footprint of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw counties. ● Oversees enterprise engagement and management of funded agencies through quarterly convenings, cadenced communications, and implementation of best practices to ensure maximum impact and high partner satisfaction.● Maintains and strengthens the organization’s data deployment capacity, using analytics and visualization tools to support impact, learning, and storytelling for internal and external audiences.

Provides leadership and strategic management to execute on United Way of Washtenaw County’s mission, vision, values and Board-approved goals. Creates, organizes, and directs approaches to achieve strategic and equitable community impact through advocacy, grant making, direct services and community partnerships. Works to ensure that UWWC’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion finds full expression in the organization’s culture, operations, grant making programs and direct services.

Member of executive leadership team reporting directly to the President and CEO. Responsible for establishing, leading, and executing United Way’s community impact agenda. Includes program/project development and management, change management, strategic planning, administration of a $4+ million grant portfolio, and aligning work of direct reports to achieve business objectives.

Responsible for grants management and administration of a $1+ million grant portfolio. Led United Way’s Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded capacity building initiative, supporting grantees with training and technical assistance.

Supported planning, implementation and continuous improvement of annual grant making activities of the community investment department, totaling over $6 million annually.

Instrumental in the receipt of a $6.6 million dollar grant to fund tobacco prevention and control from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
