As a psychology major at Marquette University, I recognized early on that I have a passion for working with people during their most vulnerable times. After graduating, I took that passion and and accepted an Americorps position working with under privileged youth in Montana, where I coordinated community service projects and lead conservation projects throughout Eastern Montana and the Dakotas. The opportunity of working with children on a regular basis inspired me to pursue law school. As a law student at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, I volunteered with a non-profit where I coauthored a book published in November 2012. The publication outlines the Cambodian, Bosnian, Rwandan, and Darfur genocides and the respective legal tribunals established to promote justice. As a graduate and member of the Colorado Bar Association, I am focused on pursuing work that allows me to advocate for those in vulnerable circumstances and to find a collaborative and workable solution.
