I have worked in Photography for a decade. Starting with simple headshots and events, I moved on to work with Advent Health as well as local businesses such as Three Brothers Boards, Moxie Vintage and All Out Power Sports. I've had the privilege of being displayed in The Smithsonian, Losen Art Exhibit in Italy, by the Strange Fire Collective and in the permeant collection at the Southeast Museum of Photography. I recently moved to Pasadena, California. I'm looking forward to putting down roots in such an advantageous and beautiful location.

I've always wanted the experience of teaching higher education so when an opportunity to teach at F.I.R.S.T. Institute arose I had to take it. This fast-paced campus easily kept up with the changing times and had recently grown their online education department. I taught students the basics of camera and video technology, editing in Premere, photoshop and lightroom as well as the history of film and courses on business development. Working at first was an excellent experience where I learned as much as I taught, got to utilize a variety of equipment and managed the intricacies of teaching/grading/planning an advanced level class. Had I not been given to opportunity to relocate to Pasadena, California I would have loved to stay.

When I began working for Jack White my main roles were to update property listings, photograph renovations, and manage social media. We began tackling long-term projects and I was able to hire a drone piolet to film all properties including ones that required permits due to proximity to an airport. I also increased social media engagement and followers, designed marketing material and blueprints for newly acquired properties and designed a booklet showcasing all of Jack Whie Land Co.'s assets. While working here we had all properties leased at one point and he began acquiring more. I also became close with Jacks family and provided personalized art lessons that were in line with his triplet's studies as well as provided family photos. This was a fantastic position where I used a wide variety of skills to truly benefit a business and learned many skills that will help me with my own freelance work as well as any future roles.

I came into this position as the previous Lead Graphic Designer was retiring, he said "I'm sorry but this place won't last 2 weeks". I began taking on management roles as well as designing and setting up documents to be printed using a massive catalog over 30 years old. I encouraged the team to improve business and streamline performance by updating software a decade behind the current industry standards. We, the management/designers, printers and assembly team worked methodically, staying overtime and turning-out valuable documents to the local government for in office use, public schools, housing, and mortuaries as well as providing design and printing service for local businesses. Despite out best efforts we came to realize, due to his own personal life, the owner of the business owed tens of thousands of dollars in taxes and to suppliers which halted the employ's best efforts to sustain the business. Six months is much better than two weeks though and I learned many valuable lessons during this time.

I do free lance work for Jackie Z throughout the year. Sometimes I'm working 40 hours a week during busy seasons but usually I am working part time. My responsibilities include assisting on photoshoots, cataloging images, editing, and interacting with clients to make sure we are capturing exactly what they want. When I'm in the office I am the first point of contact for clients wishing to schedule appointments or discuss their images.

Through my college I was able to intern at this amazing establishment. I wanted to learn more about the art world, office administration, and non for profits. I feel I succeeded and then some. I was able take part in hanging exhibitions, organizing events, and day to day activities. My skills in photoshop were also useful and I found myself designing documents. In edition, I cataloged and organized the ACA library as an ongoing project.
