The ability to listen and build good rapport is core to the success of the sessions. We indentify each individual’s image aims and issues, and work out the steps required to deal with these. There is a strong element of education as we teach underlying principles of colour and design supported by practical demonstration, ensuring that each client has a thorough grasp of what he/she needs to do to meet his/her aims. • Core to the process is teaching a client how to identify qualities of colours to suit their skin tone using fabric swatches. This enables him/her to identify best wardrobe neutral and accent colours, and how to combine them into a variety of outfits. In a style consultation we first clarify an overall image aim or style personality, and lifestyle requirements, and then demonstrate how design line, garment shape, decorative detail, fabric type and patterns work for an individual’s body line & proportion. • Wardrobe editing is a practical extension of colour and style consultations, weeding out unsuitable garments from a client’s existing wardrobe and making recommendations for purchases.
