I am a registered practical nurse with the College of Nurses (AE121155). Currently working as a ski patroller and on-call RPN in various agencies, as well as instructing acroyoga. I am interested in pursuing a career that empowers clients to practice holistic, mindful living and disease prevention. I advocate for and use alternative health care methods such as yoga, meditation, etc. in my practice.I am trained in Advanced First Aid and CPR - Level HCP by the Canadian Ski Patrol (040209715). I have my G driver's license and a reliable vehicle. In the winter I work as a Ski Patroller at Mount St. Louis, providing advanced first aid and transportation off the hill, and working to prevent accidents. In the past I have worked full time as a nurse at Georgian Bay Retirement. I currently volunteer for Fruitshare. I have volunteered and practiced at Bliss Yoga Studios, Bikram Yoga, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Royal Victoria Hospital in the emergency unit, and at various events like Tough Mudder (as an acute care nurse) and the Georgian College Pow Wow. I have active interests in yoga, skiing, triathlon sports (swimming, biking, running), trampoline, and rollerblading. Other interests are travelling, attending many forms of information sessions (lectures, seminars, webinars, workshops, TED talks, etc.), and practicing martial arts including tai chi. Information sessions that I have found particularly applicable are Neurolinguistic Programming, the Power Quadrant, Life Coaching, the Power of Vulnerability, Attachment and Intimacy in the Workplace, Kino Yoga, Christine Lee Yoga, and Vipassana.My employers, teachers and mentors consistently remark on my work ethic, professionalism, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, documentation, and health orientation.
