Spadework is an independent registered charity based in Kent, which enables its beneficiaries to achieve their potential.Adults with learning disabilities are typically isolated and are often held back from achieving their potential, becoming independent and having choice over their lives. At Spadework through participation in activities such as gardening, growing vegetables, cooking, woodwork and the performing arts, our service users (our trainees) are more independent, less isolated, and live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.The charity, which has a five-acre site near West Malling, has an ambitious programme for development. I am hands-on in helping the team to achieve this. Post pandemic, Spadework extended its services to people living with dementia and those experiencing problems with their mental health.I develop and manage new and existing relationships with businesses, individuals and community groups with a focus on fundraising. I focus on increasing the profile and extending the reach of Spadework. I assist the CEO with special projects.

I co-founded Advantage Media Network, a content agency specialising in the tennis sector. I ran the business focussing on the editorial, production and commercial aspects. Initially AMN published Ace Tennis magazine on behalf of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). In 2010 we launched our own tennis media brand, called "tennishead" and undertook many media projects for other sports brands, including ellesse, adidas and Asics.I am very proud of tennishead magazine. Our high quality paid for print and digital magazines, fused compelling content with creative design and expanded across multiple media platforms. I Interviewed some incredible professional athletes, discovered brilliant new writers, worked with talented people and navigated a way through the changing media landscape.

I was responsible for the commercial performance of Tennis GB Ltd, the publishing arm of the LTA, the major assets of which were ACE Tennis Magazine and www.LTA.org.uk. In 2006 ACE won the prestigious Sports Industry Magazine of the Year award.

Managed a portfolio of media brands, with a combined turnover of (AUD)$23 million. Member of the executive management team of Australia’s second largest magazine publishing house.

At Attic Futura, I led the magazine teams on three women’s well-being magazines, ('Women's Health', 'Real Health and Beauty' and 'Shine') with a combined turnover of £6 million. Attic Futura was later sold to Hachette Filipacchi.

Responsible for every area of publishing on a special interest men’s monthly and a unique weekly magazine. Greatest achievement: leading the team, which turned ‘The Week’ into a highly profitable subscription driven title.

Responsible for the bottom line performance of two heritage magazine brands ‘Homes and Gardens’ and ‘Country Homes and Interiors’.
