Growing up, my mom was the Controller at Bayliner. I used to tag along with her to the office on weekends so she could catch up on work. I loved going to the office! I wanted my own cubicle with a computer. I wanted to feel like I had an important job to do, with people depending on me. My mom taught me that having a good work ethic is the key to managing a long career in an industry that you love. I started working at Seattle Mortgage as an Administrative Assistant. Within six months, I was processing streamline refinances, and I was hooked! I was with my manager for next 13 years, processing loans for various loan officers in the branch. When Seattle Mortgage closed, he negotiated a role for me as a processor when he was recruited to Cobalt Mortgage which was eventually acquired by Caliber Home Loans. I’m an extremely loyal employee. My mortgage career has extended over 20 years and I’ve been with three companies in that time. I left Guild Mortgage at the end of March to help my husband start his own construction company. I setup the business licenses and permits. I taught myself QuickBooks and create invoices, ledgers, reports, etc. I’m in charge of payroll and I draft up bids for potential clients and contracts for larger jobs. A huge incentive of taking on this new challenge was being able to be home with my two daughters for the summer. Something I never thought I’d be able to do. While I am so grateful for the time I’ve had with my family, I am ready to get back to the Mortgage Industry! It’s where I feel the most fulfilled and confident. I love helping families find solutions for their needs of a new home or refinance. I find so much joy in being someone they can trust to guide them throughout the loan process. I thrive on the day-to-day details of the job. I am extremely trustworthy, dependable and honest. I’m detailed, a quick learner and can multitask like no other. I am eager to start this new chapter, and my goal is to find a company that appreciates my drive and ambition.
