Engaging multidisciplinary community partners and families to plan and implement system changes using Michigan’s Early Childhood Outcome Goals in Monroe County.

Providing preschool readiness services for families with children aged 0-5. Conducting home visits, parent interaction playgroups, and parent education seminars. Planning large community events for families with children aged 0-5. The Parents As Teachers curriculum is used to offer guidance and counseling to parents.

Contract work on an as needed basis. Providing CDA verification visits for CDA candidates. The PDS reviews the candidate’s documentation, observes the candidate working with children, and conducts a reflective dialogue with the candidate. The PDS provides scoring and reflective information to the council as part of the decision in the CDA credentialing process.
