Lead video producer managing the content strategy, production, scheduling and budget for all editorial and branded content for The Sunday Times Style, reporting to News UK’s Director of Video and the Editor of Style magazine. Responsible for the annual editorial budget, all commercial deals and managing the in-house, freelance and internationally commissioned teams; overseeing the entire production process from creative development to launch. Responsible for establishing an annual creative strategy, comprehensive launch calendar, edit schedule, critical paths and workflows. Working with the in-house creative and editorial directors to ideate new content pillars and ideas including proactive and reactive formats with a commercially viable edge. The role also included ownership of Style’s Youtube channel, managing uploading, SEO rich tagging, reporting on audience insights and analytics to further optimize content and strategy. In response to Covid-19 my team developed and executed a content plan which drove a 500% increase in Youtube subs in six months and sold 3 new commercial remote video formats which launched across the digital edition of Style, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

Named as one of the 10 best alternative festivals in the UK by The Guardian and now in it’s 10th year, I was the Assistant to the festivals Art Curator. Tasks involved conceptualizing key themes and areas, scouting and recruiting talent, assisting artists with idea generation, funding applications, sourcing/creating my own installations, production and logistics in the lead up to the event and providing onsite management and assistance.

Held on the 1st-3rd of August, Hackney WickED hosted 3 days of events with an estimated 35,000 visitors. Over 600 emerging artists, 10 pop up spaces, 20 galleries, 2 music stages, performance art and markets were on offer over 3 boroughs. As a Production Assistant I was involved with budget management, production quotes, managing charitable and in-kind sponsorships, traffic management, site set up and pack down and was the Production Office Manager over the course of the event.
