To say “I work in Events” shouts a fun, glamorous & exciting job role and that is definitely the case! 🤩 However, behind the scenes there is also a lot of dedication, teamwork and some serious organisational skills involved. I joined an onsite team with Eventwise in 2012 and loved helping to deliver these events. I’ve since worked with a close team at SWM hosting meetings & conferences around the world for several large healthcare companies. Each event always has a clear kick off point with a big finale, but each project also offers the freedom to create & develop your own ideas throughout. The fun parts of event management still shine through today and I’ve been able to meet & work alongside some wonderful people from all over the world; colleagues, suppliers & meeting delegates! The pandemic affected nearly every industry, but the biggest change for the world of events was hosting events and meetings virtually. I’ve managed & run a high variety of virtual meetings since and have loved doing it. 👩‍💻📱I’m now part of a dedicated digital department at SWM focusing on how technology can improve and enhance our future virtual events. The fast pace at which technology is constantly evolving means every working day is different. We also get very excited to share new releases and ideas to enhance events with our clients!
