I am currently a second year English major planning to graduate with my Bachelors of Arts by next spring (2025). In the future, my goal is to become a high school English teacher; working with both native English speakers as well as English language learners. I remember playing Teacher growing up with my little sister and knowing that I would eventually love for it to not be just a game but my real life.Through my English major, I have had the opportunity to work on my interpersonal skills as well as the critical analysis necessary in order to write compelling essays. I am also working on a Spanish minor that has strengthened my skills in the language and allowed me to begin an internship as a teaching assistant in a Kindergarten dual-immersion program at Lincoln Elementary School. In this internship, I have been able to interact with new and native Spanish speakers and aid them in their development of the language.My 3+ years spent in coffee shops has taught me how to work in stressful environments and communicate needs with colleagues and supervisors. Being a trainer has also taught me how to tailor training programs to individuals and also create a welcoming and fun environment for new hires which has led to a lot of good memories for me.
