As a student of Art and Design, I learned the importance of content, form, and the evolution of original design concept to finished product and developed the technical skill required to achieve such a result. After graduating, I gained years of retail sales, customer service and management experience for a specialty boutique in Providence, RI and a creative design company in Portland, ME,  as well as exploration in freelance Graphic Design for a marketing company in Boston, MA.   After many years selling home goods, fashion, and accessory items in retail settings, I wanted to contribute my own design ideas to the marketplace.  In 2012, I partnered with an artist friend and kindred creative spirit to form a small design partnership in which our shared interest in sustainable design transformed from hobby to prospective business endeavor. We began selling our original pieces online and at artisan fairs throughout New England. This became an outlet for our creative work and a small piece of a new revolution of makers and craftswomen intent to forge the way for sustainable design practice. A move across the country to California led to an exciting new position with Anthropologie in which I was able to explore creative management and visual display opportunities, as well as operations for a larger retail brand. After a few years in Los Angeles, I made the decision to return to my roots back East for an opportunity to explore Production Art and Graphic Design with EPS Communications, and was fortunate to gain a new skillset and knowledge using design software and virtual communications. After many abrupt changes in the industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I am seeking a new position in the design world. I hope to use the varied and valuable skillset of my previous experiences to find a new role in the industry while continuing to explore my custom fine art and design work; bringing both balance and inspiration to my personal and professional growth.
