The Energy Program Youth Corps (EPYC) is an initiative of the UC Davis Center for Regional Change which was launched in 2008 with support from the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) in collaboration with the Yolo County Office of Education and Region 3 STEM Service Learning Initiative. It is supported by a Bright Ideas grant from Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). The goal is to inspire a generational shift in the way we think about and use energy. We work in schools throughout Yolo and Sacramento counties (6th – 12th grade), reaching over 300 students in six area schools and three school districts in 2010.
