Briea Parks is a nationally certified registered nurse hailing from Lawndale, NC. She is a 2015 cum laude graduate of the illustrious Winston-Salem State University where she received her bachelor of science degree in nursing with a minor in psychology. In 2015, she began her nursing career as a cardiac telemetry nurse and in 2016 started her dream job as a labor and delivery nurse at the, then, Women’s Hospital of Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. In 2019, she transitioned into a leadership role when she became a charge nurse as a pioneer team member of The Birth Center at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. In 2020, she graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. In 2021, she received her national certification in in-patient obstetric nursing. She continued to work as a labor and delivery staff nurse in the capacity of travel nursing while also working in education on the baccalaureate level as a clinical instructor for North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. Recently Briea ventured into a new role as an assistant nurse manager of women’s services for CaroMont Health. Briea’s passion for obstetrics and birth work came at an early age and she has devoted her career in labor and delivery to creating a safe space for all women to feel safe and heard as they bring life into the world.
