A decade ago, a business coach (Rochelle Lierz, now my business partner at Good Apple) helped me “design my workday.” She fused facets of my personality, values, and working style to inform my optimal environment and daily cadence for collaboration and deep work. The lessons I learned in those exercises underpinned self-advocacy and awareness that still serves me today. She has held space for me as I have grown and explored professionally and personally and was a natural choice when I started to think about building my business—so natural that Good Apple almost accidentally came into being! I’ve worked with small businesses and global corporations, and the most surprising thing for me has always been the similarities. Business hiccups and hindrances are often the same across the globe. Trends in reporting follow similar patterns and there’s always an explainable (often human) reason for our challenges.
