I assisted the teacher in kindergarten, second, and third-grade classrooms and instructed small groups of children through worksheets, crafts, and writing practice.

In addition to compiling a comprehensive database of area community-based organizations and researching and building an illustrated timeline of community engagement at Sarah Lawrence using the College Archives, I also assisted in outreach for the recruitment and planning of a Pre-Orientation Civic Engagement Program and created and facilitated weekly activities for children in a local summer camp.

Yonkers, Ny

I input and organized data to prepare for a non-profit summer camp serving disadvantaged children, communicated with parents and community members about tuition and upcoming events, and co-counseled a group of children aged 4-6, supervising on field trips and daily enrichment activities.

Astoria, Queens

I planned and implemented daily interventions in ELA and math to a personal focus group of fourth-grade ESL children, co-ran the third-to-fifth grade Magnet Drama Club and an after-school kindergarten ESL program, acted as the Literacy Coordinator for my team, providing lesson-planning resources, and organized an ELA game night event for families designed to combat summer learning loss.
