I led Google Fiber's initiatives in the fixed wireless space, including developing our product and technology strategy, managing relationships with vendors and partners, executing field trials, and building operational plans.

I manage all functions of the Webpass business unit within Google Fiber, including sales, marketing, operations, and technology and product development. Webpass leverages point-to-point fixed wireless technologies, along with wireline fiber assets, to provide high-quality broadband to residents of apartments and condos in 8 cities. I lead 120+ team members, manage planning and execution, and coordinate closely with senior executives at Google Fiber.

National head of partnerships and city-facing work. This includes partner management, business development, strategic negotiation of city and other third-party agreements, and related activities. Also responsible for recruiting and managing a team of partnership leads and program managers based in local markets and at Fiber's HQ.

- Business development lead for Google Fiber's expansion efforts in the western portion of the U.S. - Oversee Fiber’s expansion work in the Western U.S. from earliest city selection decisions through network completion and customer acquisition.- Work includes city engagement, partner management, negotiation of strategic deals, and cross-functional problem solving to remove obstacles.- Negotiate complex city agreements with city staff, including franchise agreements, real estate lease agreements, joint build agreements, and dark fiber lease agreements.- Negotiate strategic partnership agreements on favorable terms with established industry players.- Manage team of six local market specialists who are responsible for day-to-day expansion- and partnership-related work in Fiber metro areas.- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Sales & Business Operations, Legal, Finance, Customer Service, Compliance, and Controls team regarding all aspects of Fiber’s business.- Represent Fiber at industry conferences and events, including Next Century Cities: A Summit for Regional Broadband Leaders conference and at MountainConnect.- Testify before elected bodies, including the Portland City Council and Phoenix City Council, and meet with regulatory authorities, including California PUC staff and the Oregon PUC.

In-house counsel supporting the Google Access team, with a focus on Google Fiber. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and licensing terms, advising business teams on federal (FCC and FTC), state, and local regulatory and statutory compliance issues, developing and implementing strategic initiatives in close consultation with business teams, interfacing with third-party partners and other stakeholders (public and private), and providing general guidance on a wide range of business issues (customer service, product design and development, billing, network build-out, IP licensing, marketing, etc.).

• Represent clients on regulatory and public relations aspects of several multi-billion dollar transactions, including developing strategy, analyzing and editing transaction documents, drafting public messaging documents and regulatory pleadings, responding to Congressional and agency inquiries, and safeguarding clients’ confidential information.• Analyze new business concepts and advise clients on compliance issues arising from statutory and regulatory obligations. • Represent client in arbitration proceeding, including developing litigation strategy, drafting pleadings, interviewing witnesses, managing discovery, and analyzing contracts.• Focus on media, technology, wireless, and Internet issues before the FCC, including proceedings regarding the broadcast TV spectrum incentive auction, the digital TV transition, program access, and video competition.• Monitor domestic and international data privacy and data security regulatory and legislative developments and draft quarterly summary chart covering data privacy issues.• Advise clients on data security breach issues, including developing comprehensive guidance document on providing notifications to consumers whose personal information is disclosed.
