I performed consults that are generated from the hospital (either in-house patient's or from the emergency room) including a complete history and physical and review of medications.I determine whether patient needs an open surgery or procedure in the vascular lab and prepare patients to go to surgery where the vascular lab. I assist in the operating room, and conduct follow-up visits with patients after surgery, including patient care and patient discharge and issues. I am directly managed by a supervising physician and I oversee the department supervisor.Highlights:Set and organize list of patient consults and establish an outpatient/same-day procedure clinic for patients requiring dialysis catheter placement or removal to increase efficiency.Increased number of procedures in the new clinic per week and close cases in the operating room, which enabled surgeons to begin new cases and be more efficient.
