I work on a mobile app development team building Milkshake. Milkshake is an app that lets users create simple and beautiful websites straight from their iPhone or Android device.Responsibilities- Feature development, including feasibility investigations, estimating work, negotiating scope with designers, technical implementation and setting up analytics and reporting- Onboarding new team members- Developing and socialising best practices and new concepts- Contributing to the ideation and development of new product ideas- Part of the on-call roster- Formal mentoring of more junior engineers

As a junior engineer, I moved between the Milkshake team and one of Envato’s major Infrastructure teams.Responsibilities- Learning about incident management, uptime and optimisation- Building developer tooling such as AWS Health Check to Slack integrations- Collaborating on major feature developments such as building an in-app purchase system for mobile app, Milkshake- Part of the on-call roster

Envato’s apprentice program is a unique immersive educational program. Two apprentices work with a full time mentor visiting teams throughout the company for six week secondments. In each secondment the apprentices do real work that is meaningful to the teams while learning both the technical and catalytic skills required to be successful in their engineering careers.

Previously I have worked as a freelance creative producer, lead artist and key collaborator on site-specific installation and audio based art works. Highlights include, VILLAGE for Junction Arts Festival, Launceston 2016, The Becalmed Heart for Underbelly Arts Festival, Cockatoo Island 2015 and HOME for Next Wave Festival, Melbourne 2014.I currently work as a key collaborator on a very limited number of projects that I am particularly passionate about.
