• Subject matter expert on state regulatory, exam and licensing pertaining to money transmitter licenses, consumer lending and gaming licensing.• Managing license acquisition including preparation of licensing applications and work required thereunder by the parties involved.• Research of licensing requirements.• Serving as a subject matter expert to client base and Chartwell team on state regulatory, exam and licensing matters.• Resolve outstanding issues identified in the application process.• Providing non-legal outreach to state regulators.• Guidance and confirmations on state regulatory requirements.• Providing state license maintenance, exam support, and services related to keeping in good standing with states.• Managing specialized state projects such as transfers of control and regulatory remediation.

• Supervise the Licensing Specialist(s), assigning ongoing and daily tasks, answering questions and providing training.• Manage and maintain over 600 individual mortgage loan originator licenses, 200 branch licenses and 15 company licenses.• Oversee the company, branch, and loan originator licensing activity, ensuring timely requests for new hires or branch licenses.• Ensure all information within the NMLS is accurate and up-to-date.• Work with The Partners Group on any new bond requirements, updates, or renewals (working in conjunction with the Accounting Department).• Provide the Compliance Manager with feedback for the Licensing Specialist(s) performance review.

• Responsible for having extensive knowledge of State licensing requirements for the company, branches, and loan originators. Including licensing requirements through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) as well as city and/or county requirements. • Oversee the company, branch, and loan originator licensing activity, ensuring timely requests for new hires or branch licenses.• Oversee the company, branch, and loan origination license renewals, including sending out renewal information, advising associates of expiring fingerprints, incomplete continuing education, etc.• Request and maintain city and state business licenses for Evergreen Home Loans’ 80 retail locations.• Work on any new bond requirements, updates, or renewals (working in conjunction with the Accounting Department).

Greater Seattle Area

• Manage all aspects of licensing as they pertain to the use of Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) for 500 individual Mortgage Loan Officer licenses, 150 Branch licenses and 10 Company licenses.• Complete filings for new applications, amendments and surrenders for company and branch filings.• Upload and maintain NMLS required documentation, clear deficiencies and run daily reports.• Work directly with Compliance and Human Resources to license Loan Officers and Loan Officer Assistants.• Partner with Compliance to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.

• Assisted Loan Officers through meetings with borrowers, collecting documentation, providing disclosures, following-up through funding and retaining the client for repeat business.• Established and maintained marketing efforts to business partners, clients and prospects. • Originated residential mortgage loans through solicitation and relationship development with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources to maintain a quality network of business relationships.• Conducted interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customer on product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gathered all additional required information in order to complete an error-free disclosure to the customer. Analyzed the various mortgage products available to the customer based on the information provided. Employed independent judgment and discretion to recommend solutions suitable for the customer’s financial situation and consistent with the customer’s overall financial goals.
