About Brighton Chama
Graduate of BSc Wood Science and Technology from the Copperbelt University, a MSc Project Management student as well as a Global Environmental Educator trained by Cornell University, USA. I'm passionate about Climate action and that made me Participate in the Climate Leadership Corps Training organized by the Climate Reality led by Al Gore. My passion and enthusiasm made me lead the Green programs in Zambia as an ambassador for Green Institute of Nigeria.I am a trained and certified assessor for Green listing protected areas, trained by IUCN. I am part of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as an Expert drawn from Zambia, making up a group known as Expert Assessment Group for Green List (EAGL), with the main responsibility of assessing protected areas to see if they meet the Global Greenlist Standard and in turn recommending them to IUCN for Green listing.I was privileged in 2022 to be one of them two experts who assessed the North Luangwa National Park (NLNP) and recommend it to the status of Greenlist that it currently has.
