At 17 years old I knew I could do more than work a minimum wage job. Starting my own business was very difficult but extremely rewarding. I did all the ground-work including lease agreements, health & city permits, inventory, building a brand, etc. In a short period of time, I was able to hire 30+ employees which taught me how to work well with others and be extremely organized.After only 4 months of operation, I had many offers from people wanting to buy The Barn. It was sold for 4x the original investment. This paid for me to go to college as well as live in Ghana, Africa for 2 years.
