With a dedicated server cluster running a type 1 hypervisors (OpenVZ Kernel on CentOS base install) I created acluster of guest OS's (Debian 7) to work as dedicated VS's for the purpose of having a separatedWeb Servers, Mail Server & Database Server. With this I learned about IPTables and MySQL inmore depth, looking at outbound rules and slave databases. With the resources at my disposal I have also used containers to act as File Servers, to learn about the GFS File System aiding the structure of an OwnCloud deployment and Load Balancers to distribute traffic between two mirrored Web Servers. This server now hosts the websites / forums / email of paying clients (One of which isStrode's College). I had successfully managed this along side of my full time occupation withStrode's College and used it as a basis for personal development.
