Develop and lead the Sales & Operations Planning process across the 3 business units and 500 SKUs, managing forecast uploads and working with finance and trade spend team members to generate a valuation of the volume forecast.Key Achievements• Developed KPI reporting for forecasting with improvement targets incorporated into Sales & Marketing bonus scheme that delivered more than 25% reduction in forecast error in the first 6 months.• Integrated newly acquired business unit into forecasting and S&OP process within a 2 month timeframe.

This role owned SAP demand scheduling, master schedule planning and inventory management processes including product master data set up and maintenance in SAP.Key Achievements• Redefined customer and product A, B, C classification of finished goods nationally, yielding improved inventory availability, in all classification levels (7% overall – 9.5% on A class products), whilst delivering a 4% reduction in stock days of finished goods. • Moved seasonal products from static safety stock to safety lead-time, with consensus of sales, demand and supply planning teams.

Provide specialist expertise in improving processes and systems in the areas of sales and operations planning (S&OP), demand, supply and procurement.Key Achievements:• The Distribution function of a major energy provider commissioned a viability study on the applicability of S&OP in this non-traditional business. The viability study led to a pilot program being designed and implemented (30 material groups, 14 suppliers, $150Million value, SAP environment). Demand group areas were identified and engaged in metropolitan and regional forecast reviews. Supplier engagement resulted in identification and resolution of supply constraints.• A review of demand and supply planning for an industrial product supplier, identified opportunities for significant improvement in purchasing, stock turns and forecasting (reduce av. SOH value by 24%). Subsequent to the review Logistics Bureau was retained to deliver benefits realisation, select and implement a forecasting system and support a Sales & Operations Planning process. Change initiatives were successfully transitioned to the business and targeted stock turn levels achieved.• Organisational review of demand, supply and customer service undertaken for consumer healthcare client, including industry sector benchmarking. Recommendations were made for improvements in reporting, ERP practices (SAP environment) and task assignment with labour saving opportunities identified. Functional transformation was completed and recommendations implemented.

Design and manage Sales and Operations Planning, forecasting models and protocols.Key Achievements:• Established Sales & Operations Planning process and methodology (Nominated for Weston’s Best Award – Innovation Category) to provide long-term vision and planning for the division.• Managed selection, tender and business case process for a new forecasting tool for implementation across multiple divisions of the business.

Plan and procure all finished goods, raw materials and packaging. Manage outsourced supply chain functions of warehousing, freight forwarding, local distribution, co-packing and co-manufacturing, including contract negotiation.Key Achievements:• Managed tender of freight forwarding and customs brokerage that realized a saving of A$60K per annum.• Identified and established new co-packing capacities to support growth of market share and product complexity.
