After numerous years working as senior merchandiser, product development specialist and new business manager for DMQ Trading, I resigned from the business in order to grow and face new challenges. With extensive experience in fashion accessories, specifically watches, as well as sporting accessories, it has, and continues to be an exciting chapter developing and forecasting ranges for most of South Africa's retailers. I succeeded in opening relations to Australasian retail, and managed to grow the offering of product supplied.I pride myself in a keen eye for opportunity and a strong flair for new business development. Where there's a will, there's a way. I am a strong problem solver, and enjoy innovating in order to adapt and succeed. Having managed and coordinated DMQ's 2 in house brands to date with our team of designers and sourcing experts, I have found a great deal of job satisfaction having had the involvement in marketing, visual merchandising and overall brand management.Frequent international travel, both to trade fairs and for market research has kept me informed, up to date, and excited about prospects waiting to be ventured.With a tertiary education, based on systems development, I thoroughly enjoy adapting and applying current day cloud based solutions to on going business challenges. Data analysis is another area of enjoyment, as I firmly believe this is a critical key in understanding the success of product in store, JIT management and developing to suit demand.
