Professional BackgroundBrigid Mackey is the head of Neuro Athletics and a neuromuscular specialist at The Collective Elite Sports Performance & Rehabilitation. Her career began back in 2012 when she began an internship with some of the top neuromuscular and health specialists in the United States. Since then, she has continued to study and work alongside these specialists at the cutting edge of biomechanics and healing of the human body. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Biology and Business from the University of Redlands. While in school, Brigid worked as a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach and weight loss specialist. She maintained a 3.9 GPA, volunteered weekly and made the Dean’s list every year.The following year she continued her education at the World Headquarters for Muscle Activation Techniques® where she studied muscle neurology as a form of therapy and athletic performance.  That same year she opened her own company – Neuro Athletics. She currently works with a full range of clients from Olympic athletes to those beginning to learn how to exercise – including all ages from little kiddos to grandparents. Brigid specifically uses Muscle Activation Techniques® to assess client’s neuromuscular capabilities, find their limitations, open up range of motion, create stability and alleviate pain. She specializes in building muscle mass, decreasing body fat, getting people out of pain, and the sports of swimming and tennis.  Athletic BackgroundBrigid was an accomplished competitive swimmer of sixteen years. She represented the United States internationally, placed top three on the podium all four years at the WA state swimming championships, and competed alongside the top-level athletes in the country. She grew up being extremely athletic and competed in nearly all sports ranging from volleyball to competitive sailing.As a student athlete, Brigid was known for being one of the most disciplined, driven and hardworking. She was Captain of the swim team, the Executive Academic Chair in her sorority, a mentor for young student athletes, and a volunteer tutor. In high school Brigid encouraged others to push themselves and directly inspired multiple students to go on and get their college degrees.
