Managed a complex 16-million-dollar international cooperation project, with Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, funded by the Canadian Government. This Sustainable Development and Skills for Employment Program aims to improve socio-economic opportunities for young people in the Pacific Alliance region by strengthening the governance of the mining, oil and gas sectors as well as employability outcomes, through education for employment and technical assistance partnership projects.Key responsibilities and achievements included:• Program management and implementation (established 16 institutional and technical assistance partnerships between consortiums of Canadian colleges and industry associations, and the ministries of education and technical institutes of the four Pacific Alliance countries)• Government, diplomatic and industry relations (established productive bilateral partnerships with the ministries of foreign affairs, economy, labour, education, environment and women in the four Pacific Alliance countries)• Capacity building and public policy dialogue. Organized four international policy and best practice exchange forums and published four reports:-Forum on Gender Equality in the Extractive Sector. -Forum on Indigenous Communities, Education for Employment, and the relationship with the Extractive Sector. -TVET Intersectoral Forum: Policies and Best Practices between the Pacific Alliance Countries and Canada. - Intersectoral Forum on Environmental Sustainability in the Extractive Sector: Best Practices and Policies from the Pacific Alliance and Canada. • Business development in Latin America (developing new bilateral collaboration projects in Mexico, Colombia and Peru)• Innovative finance (developing a social impact bond project for Venezuelan refugees in Colombia)
