As Project Manager, I acted as liaison between shareholders to ensure a successful project outcome, including industry partners in the Ottawa Police Services. I successfully wrote four funding proposals to secure necessary material and equipment for the project. On the collision testing day, I was the point of contact for media relations, performing interviews for print, television and radio, including interviews featured on the Discovery Channel's show Daily Planet.Additionally I completed an individual project, designing a simulation to better understand injuries sustained by a cyclist when in a vehicular collision. I was responsible for understanding the physics behind the current theories and methods used my police to reconstruct the scene after a collision has taken place between two or more motor vehicles. I then applied those theories to collisions between a motor vehicle and a cyclist through theoretical and experimental methods in order to determine if current scene reconstruction methods are an appropriate method to use when reconstructing scene involving cyclists.
