With over 25 years of experience in the correctional field, I am currently the Director General in the Women Offender Sector, at Correctional Service of Canada, where I lead the strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight of public safety and emergency management initiatives. I also the Acted Deputy Commissioner for Women, for almost 2 years, where I overseen the management and delivery of correctional programs and services for women offenders. I have a strong track record of delivering results, enhancing collaboration, and promoting diversity and inclusion in the correctional system. I have successfully managed complex and sensitive issues, such as COVID-19 response, offender rehabilitation, staff wellness, and community engagement. I have also contributed to several national and international projects and partnerships, such as the Women in Corrections Network, the International Corrections and Prisons Association, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. I have a bachelor degree in Criminology from Université de Montréal, and I am fluent in both French and English. I am passionate about promoting and positively impacting the lives of women, indigenous people as well as the more vulnerable people and human rights.
