Worked with these mills to ensure we continue to service our customers throughout unplanned downtime, weather events, and changes in the market. • Oversaw the operations of two warehouse locations. Planned orders based on customer demand and managed inventory counts. Aligned our external warehouse and our Commerce City mill to reduce the number of bags damaged on a railcar per shipment. By working through issues and solutions with both parties, we were able to come up with a solution which included adding more dunnage and educating our staff on proper loading methods, which in turn reduced damaged bags and cost.• Collaborated with IT and team members on the implementation of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). Spent seven months testing, building, and executing to ensure that the new operating system would not hinder our daily execution to satisfy customer needs. • Built over 20 reports with the implementation of TransCore Rail Reporting system. These reports give the mills and logistics team visibility to private and public railcar inventory, CLMs, and alerts. Employees utilize these reports daily to help plan production, forecast demurrage, and manage our private fleet.• Developed and maintained relationships with customers, vendors, in-field and corporate employees through daily interactions.
