Experiences acquired:Organizer and presenter of workshops for educators working with ELLs : Applied Winter Linguists in conjunction with NYS TESOL conference, NYS TESOL conference in Syracuse, Binghamton University (ENL Collective) , SUNY Cortland, Binghamton City Schools, Binghamton District led PD for general education teachers Co-Teaching Grant writing, ESL program development, Extended day and summer school program coordinating, ELL volunteer coordinating and planning between the university and school community, curriculum alignment and development, Certified as a teacher trainer of SIOP from the CAL Institute, conducted PD for staff regarding the acquisition of a second language, support strategies to implement SIOP Hosted and mentored student teachers, students for field work placement and observers from SUNY Cortland, Binghamton University, Broome Community College and SUNY Oneonta, Guest speaker and co-lecturer at SUNY Cortland about ELLs and their learning, Participated in NY State Education Department development of teacher test section on Educationing All Students and on the commitee designed by NY State Ed. for item review of NY States NYSESLAT test for ELLs,Participated in action research for Hunter College and a longitudinal research study with Binghamton University.Binghamton Teacher’s Union Representative

Worked with ALWC committee members to organize and host an Applied Linguistics winter conference at Binghamton University. My work centered on connecting with publishing companies, setting up hotel contract, making room arrangements for the NYS TESOL board members and plenary speakers, connecting with Sodexo food services to order and organize morning meals, lunch and evening snacks for the conference.

Instructed ELLs in grades Kindergarten -seventh grade for C.Fred Middle School and Horace Mann Elementary School

Awarded a two year stipend to work along side the head professor of the TESOL department. During the two years, I assisted in the methods classes, taught adult level ESL classes,developed my own curriculum, mentored, provided guidance and feedback to peers in the methods class while acting as mentor teacher during their weekly teaching placements in my adult ESL class.

Instructed students enrolled in beginning level Italian.
