Senior Product Developer / Head Designer
CurrentResearch and design Ladies Sportswear apparel to mass market retailers across North America, Europe & USAManage a team of fit technicians & pattern makers (8 employees) including line sheets, patterns, technical and flat sketches, teck packs, fabric sourcing, artwork registering and maintain catalogs/boards of all developments by customers. Plan and coordinate technical product development for activities to ensure timely completion & receipt of product in accordance with the calendar and customer presentations. Participate in fit sessions; ensure that comments are sent to overseas makers for counter sampling to final approval. Ensure that quality standards are being addressed and maintained. Follow up with overseas makers regarding fabrics, samples, duplicates and special projects, trouble shoot. Monitor the flow of production. Organize & maintain consistency and accuracy of information for design, development and sales teams- i.e. tech packs and fabric sourcing. Overview production team, documenting and organizing, overhead reduction productivity, efficiency & delegate daily duties / Put into place new systems to keep department running smoothlyNegotiate cost with overseas factory and mills and responsible for final orders, customers follow up and production plans.Innovative & leader with upcoming trends & able to ' Think outside the box' Conduct competitor analysis and analyze market for trends, shop for samples, attend trade shows
