Originally from the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, Brigitte came to Wilmington to attend UNCW and fell in love with the city, the people, and coastal living. Currently a resident of Carolina Beach, Brigitte was first introduced to the greater Wilmington area in 1997. She is a graduate of UNCW and St. Lawrence University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration marketing and a master’s degree in educational counseling.In her spare time, Brigitte enjoys outdoor sports - including swimming, kayaking, and hiking - as well as painting and photography. In addition to spending time on the beach, she can usually be found concocting new grilling recipes with her boyfriend, Mike, or running with her dogs at nearby Carolina Beach State Park. An enthusiastic traveler, she has explored much of the United States, as well as Mexico, the Caribbean, eastern Canada, and Switzerland.
